2008 Sculpture on the Blue

The Town of Breckenridge has opened a call for sculptors for the 2008 Sculpture on the Blue.  Deadline for application has been extended to Monday, May 5, 2008 at 5:00pm.  Please click here for additional information, and to access the application for 2008.  Sculptures will be on display from June 20th through September 20th, 2008.

Main Street Closure Starting April 28

Beginning April 28, 2008 through May 2, 2008, Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic at the Wellington intersection, along with portions of the Wellington parking lot, while crews install new storm water inlets and associated piping. Beginning the week of May 5th. Main Street will continue to be closed from Watson to the north side of the Ski Hill intersection.  Work will be taking place from Wellington Rd  to Ski Hill Rd (Areas A and C).

Orange, Brown and Yellow Routes

Due to the shortage of drivers, the Town of Breckenridge will add second overflow buses for the Orange, Brown, and Yellow Routes as staffing permits. Please see bus stops for departure times as the information will be posted at the bus stops once seasonal service begins. Please click here for more information.

Locals Appreciation Month

For the third year in a row, the Town of Breckenridge is recognizing the month of May as “Locals Appreciation Month” for parking. The 3-hour time-restricted areas will not be enforced from Thursday, May 1st through Saturday, May 31st. All other parking rules & regulations, including handicap spaces, delivery zones, etc. will continue to be enforced.

What's Happening

Clean Up Day - May 17

This year's clean up day is all about making Breckenridge beautiful. Bring out the entire family to help pick up trash in our community and then enjoy an old fashion barbeque at Carter Park. Clean Up Day is being held on May 17 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Please note that there are changes of what will be accepted on Clean Up Day this year.

Town Party - June 13

Kick off the summer with live music at the newly renovated Riverwalk Center. Fun for all – Breckenridge style. Town Party will be at the Riverwalk Center and Blue River Plaza from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and is open to anyone who wants to come and join the fun.
