Historic Main Street
NO SKIER PARKING MAIN STREET
There are nearly 2,500 parking spaces, including pay and free, where skier parking is encouraged in town. However, skier parking is prohibited on Main Street in order to promote Downtown businesses and allow for guests – both local and out-of-town – to find convenient parking. (“Skier” includes snowboarder according to the Ski Safety Act).
TRANSIT & PARKING MASTER PLAN
The Town continues to work toward the development of a sustainable, long-term transit & parking master plan. Visit our dedicated master plan update page for full details.
The Town of Breckenridge Police Department enforces and monitors the Town's on and off street parking programs. The Town will continue efforts to create consistent turnover of the available parking spaces for those doing business or visiting Breckenridge.
The Town of Breckenridge does not allow parking on residential or commercial streets, thoroughfares, alleys or easements within the Town unless specifically posted. Residents and guests may apply for a temporary on-street parking permit for dinner parties or other social events. Throughout the winter season, Public Works will post street closures for certain Town blocks for snow removal operations. Orange construction-type signs will be posted on either side of the designated Town block at least 24-hours prior to snow removal operations. Please be cognizant of these postings, as vehicles will not be allowed to park in these areas during snow removal operations, and may be subject to towing at the owner’s expense.
PLEASE NOTE: Parking is prohibited on all Town street unless otherwise posted.
Parking is prohibited in all Town of Breckenridge operated parking lots between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. during the months of November through April each year. Parking restrictions are strictly enforced. Other restrictions may apply. Always check signs before parking! We offer overnight parking at the Satellite Lot for a nominal fee.
