The Riverwalk Center is located in the heart of Breckenridge on the banks of the Blue River. The Riverwalk Center can seat 75 to 250 people comfortably with tables. The interior of the building consists of graduated rises. The chairs are removable, enabling a wide variety of seating configurations such as banquet and reception styles for your special day. The facility is heated through in floor radiant heat and a forced air system. The Riverwalk Center will also be able to provide an open air feeling by opening the clear doors in the back of the facility onto a wonderful lawn area with beautiful views of historic Main Street, the Blue River and the Ten Mile Range. The Riverwalk Center Lawn is the perfect location for an outdoorsy addition to your wedding. Function capacity ranges from 750 interior to 1200 including the lawn and interior space (this is without tables). Here is some basic information to help you in the decision process. -The Riverwalk Center may be used year round. But please note that the lawn is covered with snow from November to early May. The Riverwalk is primarily a performing arts facility and typically Saturdays are booked for concerts. Therefore, availability is extremely limited.
-Reservations for summer 2010 are now being accepted.-We are happy to hold a date for up to one week with a verbal commitment. After this, we require a deposit and use agreement. -The rental fee for the Riverwalk Center Amphitheatre is $1500 a day. This fee includes general lighting for your event, a clean and useable facility and the presence of a house manager. If you require any additional staff, there will be additional fees. The rental fee for the Riverwalk Center Lawn is $1100 a day. To rent the lawn and the amphitheatre both is $2600 per day. -The damage deposit is $1000. This will be refunded after your wedding, providing there is no damage to the premises. -You are required to have a certificate of insurance naming the Town of Breckenridge as additionally insured for up to 1 million dollars general liability. This is available from your insurance company, and typically costs between $200 and $300. -If you require technical assistance (for example theatrical lighting or sound set-up) the fee is $25/hr. Up to 3 hours are included with your rental payment. -Harvest Catering holds the liquor license for the building. Call (970) 453-7028 for information about their fees. You must use Harvest Catering for liquor service for your wedding as they hold the liquor license. Harvest is also the preferred provider for food at the Riverwalk Center. If you decide to use a different caterer, then that caterer will be required to pay a commission to the Riverwalk Center.
-While Riverwalk Center chairs may be used free of cost for your event, you will need to rent tables and linens as the facility does not own these items. There are 770 chairs available for your use. All plates, silverware and other serving items will also need to be rented from an outside source. Riverwalk Center staff will clear the Riverwalk, but will not set up tables or chairs. This must be organized through a catering or rental company. Colorado Tents and Events (970-262-6858) rents tables (will most likely be 4ft rounds due to stepped nature of our facility), plates, linens, glasses, etc…, but you may use any supplier. -Please discuss set-up and decorations with our events staff so we can ahere to the fire code and any other restrictions.
