Excavation & Encroachment Permits are available May 1 - October 31
All individuals, businesses, or contractors must fill out a Contractor Application before an Excavation & Encroachment Permit can be applied for. Any person, business, or organization intending on excavating or encroaching into the town right-of-way (street or property) must be issued an Excavation & Encroachment Permit from the Town of Breckenridge Public Works office. FEES for 2013
Permit Fee (encroachment) - $100 Permit Fee (asphalt, concrete, or curb and gutter excavation) - $200 Road Closure Fee - TBD Excavation 2-year bond - Based on project and size of area Operating without an approved permit - $300/day Work outside of designated permit hours - $100/day Street not opened to traffic by 7:00 p.m. each day - $150/day Temporary cold patch not applied in 72 hours - $50/day Hot bituminous patch not applied within 15 days - $50/day Failure to provide adequate traffic control - $100/day Sweeping (road and/or sidewalk) - $100/hour Infrared replacement not applied to roads 5 years or newer - Cost of entire infrared replacement Slopes and drainage not restored to original condition - Cost of repair
