During the wintertime crews work 10-12 hours a day, 7 days a week to clear snow and ice on 18 miles of Breckenridge sidewalks which receive in excess of 200 inches of snow each season.
Winter service levels have been scaled back in order to achieve a more sustainable snow removal and plowing program given budgetary constraints and a volatile economy. We understand these new service levels will demand more accountability and patience from property owners and visitors. We encourage you to educate yourself with sidewalk plow routes and what your taxes pay for.
Sidewalk plow routes have been determined by location and proximity to core town access. Outlying sidewalks which do not provide bus or town access may not receive service. See the sidewalk plow route map to determine service levels in your area.
