General information
It is illegal to sell alcoholic beverages without a license. In the State of Colorado all matters pertaining to the licensing of a premise to sell and/or serve alcoholic beverages must be approved on both the local level and State level. Submission of an alcohol beverage application is very time sensitive and requires forethought for timely approval. Potential applicants should consult the Colorado Department of Revenue Liquor Enforcement site to determine the best class of license for your business.
In liquor licensing there are many levels of licensing that may occur. Levels include but are not limited to the licensing of a new business, designating a new manager, altering an existing premise, changing an entity’s LLC or Corporate structure, changing the location of the business, or changing a trade name.
