Benefit Summary
Part-Time Year Round Employees Departments: Recreation, Public Works, Administration: Riverwalk, Golf Course Maintenance, Golf Operations, Community Development (subject to change) General Leave Part-time year round employees who have worked for the Town a minimum of six consecutive months and who have worked an average of 20 hours per week during the six month period may be eligible for up to 40 hours of paid General leave. General Leave will be pro-rated depending on start date. Wellness/Recreational Benefits Eligible employees receive access to the Breckenridge Recreation Center, Steven C. West Ice Arena and the Gold Run Nordic Center. Wellness/recreation access varies with employment status. The wellness/recreational benefits are valid during employment only. Full-Time Winter Seasonal Employees Divisions: Streets and Parks, Transit, Nordic and Recreation Lifeguards (subject to change) Personal Leave Thirty-Two (32) hours of personal leave is credited after 60 days of employment and may be used with approval from employee's supervisor. If hired on or after January 2nd, and on or before February 15th, 16 hours of personal leave is credited after 60 days of employment. If hired after February 16th, no personal leave is granted. Paid Holidays Full-Time Winter Seasonal Employees are eligible for the following paid holidays: Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, four hours on Christmas Eve (if it does not fall on a weekend), Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. (Note: Some full-time seasonal employees may be required to work on these holidays.) Wellness/Recreational Benefits Eligible employees receive access to the Breckenridge Recreation Center, Steven C. West Ice Arena, and the Gold Run Nordic Center. The wellness/recreational benefits are valid during employment only. Part-Time Winter Seasonal Employees Divisions: Streets and Parks, Transit, Recreation Youth, Recreation Nordic, Recreation Lifeguards (Subject to Change) End of Season Retention Payment Employees who work a specific number of weeks (defined at beginning of season) for 15 - 29 hours per week or more, and meet appropriate performance expectations may be eligible for an End of Season Retention Payment. Wellness/Recreational Benefits Eligible employees receive access to the Breckenridge Recreation Center, Steven C. West Ice Arena, and the Gold Run Nordic Center. The wellness/recreational benefits are valid during employment only. Full-Time Summer Seasonal Employees Divisions: Golf Maintenance, Golf Operations, Riverwalk, Streets and Parks, Transit, Open Space Trails, Recreation Youth, Recreation Park Officials, Recreation Lifeguards and Recreation Sports (Subject to Change) End of Season Retention Payment Employees who work a specific number of weeks (defined at beginning of season) for 30 hours per week or more, and meet appropriate performance expectations may be eligible for an End of Season Retention Payment. (Note: Some Restrictions Apply) Personal Leave • Sixteen (16) hours of personal leave time is credited after 30 days of employment and may be used with approval from employees’ supervisor. • If hired on or after July 2nd, and on or before August 15th in a full-time summer seasonal position, 8 hours of personal leave time is credited after 30 days of employment. • If hired on or after August 15th no personal leave is granted. Paid Holidays Full-Time Summer Seasonal Employees are eligible for the following paid holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day (July 4th), and Labor Day. (Note: Some full-time seasonal employees may be required to work on these holidays.) Wellness/Recreational Benefits Eligible employees receive access to the Breckenridge Recreation Center, Steven C. West Ice Arena, or 18 rounds of Golf at the Breckenridge Golf Club. *The wellness/recreational benefits are valid during employment only. Temporary Employees (not through temporary agency) Division: Subject to needs of the Organization Wellness/Recreational Benefits Eligible employees receive access to the Breckenridge Recreation Center, Steven C. West Ice Arena, and the Gold Run Nordic Center. The wellness/recreational benefits are valid during employment only. Substitute Employees Division: Subject to needs of the Organization Wellness/Recreational Benefits Eligible employees receive a (10) punch pass at a recreation facility of their choice; they may choose from the Breckenridge Recreation Center, Steven C. West Ice Arena, OR the Gold Run Nordic Center. The (10) punch pass is valid during employment only.
