Town Clean Up Day & Appreciation Party

Town Clean Up Day & Appreciation Party sponsored by Breckenridge Grand Vacations

Join the Town of Breckenridge Saturday, May 19, 2018, as we clean the streets of Breckenridge after the snow melts – and get a free breakfast & lunch accompanied by live music performed by Home Grown Mountain Jams at a gathering after clean up as a “thank you” for your efforts.

EVENT DETAILS

Meet on the Riverwalk Center, 150 W Adams Breckenridge CO 80424. Clean up check-in begins at 9:00am and that is where participants can pick up canvas gloves, orange bags and receive area assignments (or just go to their favorite clean up spot).  Participants will also receive free breakfast and coffee provided by Breckenridge Market & Liquors and LoLo Juice. Please bring your own reusable coffee mug! Afterwards, join us for an appreciation BBQ including free food, free beer (while supplies last) with live music and raffle prizes!

TIPS

  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and comfortable walking shoes.
  • Take our FREE transit system to and from the Riverwalk Center – www.breckfreeride.com
  • Pick out a spot you see or walk every day and plan to do clean up there or be assigned to a location.
  • Bring lots of family and friends- it makes the morning go a lot faster.

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION BBQ

After clean up, there will be some live music and Town Council members will be grilling up and serving food at the Riverwalk Center!

All food waste will be composted and all supplies will be recyclable when available – so there will be minimal waste going to the landfill after this event. This year we also rented reusable dishware, glasses and silverware to reduce waste.  Breckenridge strives to be environmentally friendly with our events and walks the walk with our Zero Waste Picnic Lunch which is a “thank you” to volunteers.  Please bring your own reusable cups and dishes to join in our efforts!

DOOR PRIZES

Several local businesses have been kind enough to donate some amazing gift certificates and prizes to be given away at the event as a “thank you” to lucky volunteers!  There are both children & adult categories of prizes to be won!

INCLEMENT WEATHER

In case of inclement weather the event will be moved inside the Riverwalk Center- rain, snow or shine!
