Get ready to dive into how your town really works — and have a little fun along the way! This five-part series, hosted in partnership with Colorado Mountain College Breckenridge, is all about helping our community connect, learn, and get involved in local government. Whether you’re new to the area, thinking about serving on a board, or just curious about how decisions get made, this series will give you practical tools and insider know-how to engage confidently with your local government.
Our third session explores how Town Council meetings work — from the agenda and packet process to how topics make it to the table. You’ll learn the difference between work sessions and regular meetings, the types of items Council considers, and how residents can effectively share public comments.
Plus, we’ll have food, drinks, and snacks to keep you fueled — and a drawing with fun prizes you won’t want to miss! Food will be served starting at 6:00 p.m. in Room 142/143. The class begins at 6:30 p.m. Registration requested for food count but not required -- https://bit.ly/guide2localgov.
