Our third session explores how Town Council meetings work — from the agenda and packet process to how topics make it to the table. You’ll learn the difference between work sessions and regular meetings, the types of items Council considers, and how residents can effectively share public comments.

Our fourth session introduces the various Town of Breckenridge commissions, their roles, and how they influence community decisions. Participants will learn the difference between advisory and quasi-judicial commissions, understand meeting expectations and term limits, and explore how to apply or be appointed to serve.

Our fifth and final session highlights the rights and powers of community members. Participants will learn about initiatives, referendums, and recalls—key processes that let civic participants propose laws, challenge decisions, or remove officials—offering a clear view of how to stay actively engaged beyond voting.
