Utility Work Four O'Clock Run Road July 13-August 31

A subcontractor for Xcel Energy will be conducting utility work from Ski Hill Road to Timber Trail Road. There will be a one lane closure with flaggers directing traffic through the single lane. Expect minor delays.

 Utility Work N. French Street near N. Main Street July 14

Allo Communications will be conducting utility work. Traffic lanes will be shifted around the work zone; two lanes of traffic will remain open. No delays are expected.

Highway 9 Median Closure July 14

RMCL will be performing landscape maintenance from the Main Street roundabout and the raised medians along Highway 9 to Valley Brook Road. Inside lanes in each direction will be closed from 7:00am through approximately 12:00pm. No delays are expected.

Utility Work Huron Road near Highway 9 July 6-10

A contractor of the Breckenridge Grand Vacations/Entrada, will be conducting utility work on Huron Road (CR 450) near Highway 9. Expect lane shifts, reduced speeds and flaggers directing traffic through the work zone minor delays expected. 

Utility Work Four O’Clock Run Road- July 6-17

A contractor of the Breckenridge Grand Vacations/Valor Heritage, will be conducting utility work on Four O’Clock Run Road from Ski Hill Road to Timber Trail Road. There will be a one lane closure with flaggers directing traffic through the single lane. Expect minor delays.

Asphalt Paving 1599 Ski Hill Road -July 21-22

A contractor for the Breckenridge Grand Vacations/Imperial Hotel, will be paving asphalt on Ski Hill Road from Boulder Ridge to One Ski Hill Place. There will be a one lane closure with flaggers directing traffic through the single lane. Expect minor delays.

Roundabout New Construction at North French, Woods Drive, and Highway 9

Breckenridge Grand Vacations is constructing the roundabout as part of the Development Agreement for building housing in Breckenridge. Work began on May 11.

Starting Tuesday May 26, expect lane shifts with 2 lanes of traffic to remain open.

Mill, Overlay, and Concrete Replacement

We will update status of the areas to be milled and overlayed throughout the construction season, so check back for updates and more details.

The 2026 Asphalt and Concrete Rehabilitation project was awarded to the low bidder Columbine Hills Construction. Project locations for 2026 include: Highlands Drive, Rounds Road, Forest Hill Drive, transit stop repairs on Airport Road near the Justice Center, and other miscellaneous concrete removal and replacement locations.

Work is slated to begin in July and continue throughout the summer and fall. Roadwork for the Highlands neighborhood is currently being targeted for late August, but schedules may shift as the contractor finalizes their agreements and balances resources with other projects and agencies within the county.
