Impacts for the Week of 8/10/2026 – 8/14/2026

Work on the water main upgrades will continue at both the Broken Lance Dr / Now Colorado Ct intersection and the White Cloud Dr / Silver Queen Dr intersection.

Starting Monday August 10^th the contractor will be finishing the water line installation up the hill by White Cloud Dr and crossing White Cloud Dr. There will be up to 15 minute traffic holds at the White Cloud Dr / Silver Queen Dr intersection from Monday August 10^th to Wednesday August 12^th as they complete this work. There will be one lane closures with flaggers directing traffic along Broken Lance. The traffic control plan for these areas is below. There are no water outages planned for this week.

Parking within the right of way needs to be avoided due to causing safety issues with pedestrians, vehicles, emergency services, and transit. Please move your vehicles fully into your driveway on your property at all times.

Traffic Control Plan for Week of 8/10/2026:

Construction Description:
This project is located in the southern portion of the Town of Breckenridge, Colorado. The purpose of this project is to upgrade the water line from Silver Queen Drive to Broken Lance Drive and along the east side of Broken Lance Drive to Highway 9. These water line upgrades will increase the fire flow availability in the area to meet code requirements and help maintain pressures in the area. This project will also involve repaving the entire road after the water line work is complete. 

Schedule:
This will be a two season project. The first phase will be from July to October 2026 and the second phase will be from May to October 2027.

The first phase of the project will be from Silver Queen Drive to Broken Lance Drive and start on the east side of the Broken Lance Drive. The second phase will be from the east side of Broken Lance Drive to Highway 9.
