Bulk Water Station - Public Works Yard

The Town of Breckenridge provides a bulk water fill station at the Public Works Yard. All users must have a Bulk Water Permit before using the station. To get set up and receive an access code, contact Public Works Administration at 970‑453‑3170 or stop into the Public Works Administration offices.

Bulk Water Hydrant Meters

The Town of Breckenridge may provide hydrant meters for approved construction and commercial water use. Issuance of a hydrant meter is at the discretion of the Water Manager or Assistant Water Manager.Bulk Water Permit is required before a hydrant meter can be issued.

A meter will not be placed on any hydrant with pressure exceeding 150 PSI. In those cases, the user must either use the bulk water station, provide a pressure‑reducing valve (PRV), or select a different hydrant. If a hydrant is being used to fill a water truck prior to meter installation, the truck’s air gap must first be inspected by Water Department staff.

Public Works staff will mount and remove the meter, and all usage is billed based on final readings. To request a hydrant meter or coordinate pickup, contact Public Works Administration at 970‑453‑3173 or stop into the Public Works Administration offices.
