The Town of Breckenridge conducts Municipal Elections in accordance with the provisions of the Breckenridge Town Charter and Title 31 of the Colorado Revised Statutes. The Town Clerk’s office and the Election Commission administer Breckenridge Municipal Elections.

Breckenridge’s regular municipal elections are held on the first Tuesday in April in even-numbered years. The next Municipal Regular Election in Breckenridge will take place on April 7, 2026. 

The Town of Breckenridge may coordinate with Summit County for the November elections. For information regarding other Elections in the County, contact the Summit County Clerk & Recorder's Election Division. 

Town elections are non-partisan.

Voters who reside in unincorporated Breckenridge areas are not eligible to vote in the Town of Breckenridge Municipal Elections or run for Municipal Office.
