The Town of Breckenridge will be updating the contract for trash and recycling services for commercial shared enclosures in the downtown core. Businesses must register with Public Works in order to receive new key cards accessing the enclosures. It is anticipated that the changes will go into effect on February 15, 2019.
All businesses using the town-owned shared enclosures will comply with the rules and regulations associated with this program. Businesses who do not comply will not be granted access and are subject to fines under the municipal code for illegal dumping.
The Town of Breckenridge has a goal to reduce its waste and increase recycling diversion 40-70%. Businesses using the shared enclosures are expected to participate in recycling programs. For help and information about how to recycle, train your employees, or set up your recycling system, please contact Jessie Burley.
