BEC Purpose Statement:
The Breckenridge Events Committee purpose is effectively functioning as the single, primary point of contact for evaluation of (potential) events in the community of Breckenridge against agreed upon event strategies including: driving visitation, media, branding, animation/local community, and revenue. The BEC also functions as the “base” for the SEPA (Special Events Permit Application) process.
Right event, right time, right result.
The responsibility of the committee:
To effectively function as the single, primary point of contact for evaluation of potential events against agreed upon event strategies including, but not limited to: Increasing and maintaining visitation, Media, Branding, Animation/local community, and Revenue.
To identify potential impacts on Town and citizens requiring extra vetting; street and parking closures, trail use, noise, multi day events.
The initial Committee consists of the following ten members:

- Town Council Representative
- Town staff member
- Breckenridge Ski Resort
- Breckenridge Grand Vacations
- Beaver Run
- Main Street Station
- The Village at Breckenridge
- Breckenridge Arts Coalition
- Breckenridge Creative Arts
